Understanding Fuel Loans

What are Fuel Loans?

Fuel Loans are specialized short-term 24 Hours financing service designed specifically for boda boda riders within the Partner Saccos. These loans provide quick access to Fuel on Instant Need / emergencies, ensuring operators can maintain continuous business operations without interruption.

Key Features of Fuel Loans:

Quick Disbursement: Get funds within hours of approval
Flexible Amounts: Borrow what you need for fuel and operations
Short Repayment Period: Designed to match daily or weekly income cycles
Competitive Rates: Affordable interest rates for operators
Auto-Debit Option: Automatic repayment from your daily earnings

Who Can Apply?

Active boda boda riders and transport operators who are members of the Sacco can apply. You must have completed your membership registration and maintain a good account standing.

Benefits of Fuel Loans:

Never run out of fuel during peak earning hours
Increase daily earnings without capital constraints
Manage cash flow more efficiently
Build creditworthiness through timely repayment
Access to larger loans as your record improves

Tip: The faster you repay a fuel loan, the sooner you can access another one. Consistent on-time payments make you eligible for higher loan amounts.

Understanding Bike Loans

What are Bike Loans?

Bike Loans provide member applicants with a physical UNION motorcycle supplied directly by UNION and branded in UNION colors. The borrower receives the bike and repays its computed cost over a period of 6 months. Once the full bike cost has been repaid, the bike becomes the borrower's property.

Key Features of Bike Loans:

Physical Bike: Receive a UNION motorcycle instead of a cash loan
UNION Supply: Bikes are availed directly by UNION
UNION Branding: Each bike is branded in UNION colors
6-Month Repayment: Repay the computed bike cost over 6 months
Ownership After Repayment: The bike becomes yours after full repayment

Who Can Apply?

UNION members who need a motorcycle for their transport business can apply for a Bike Loan. Member applicants receive the physical bike under the agreed 6-month repayment arrangement.

Benefits of Bike Loans:

Access a motorcycle without paying the full computed cost upfront
Use the bike for your transport business while repaying its cost
Work towards owning your bike within the 6-month repayment period

Ownership: Full repayment of the computed bike cost is required before the bike becomes the borrower's property.
